Brickbuild was commissioned to undertake all brickwork and masonry for this large new build home. In this instance, the client was a building contractor so undertook the rest of the work in-house. The brickwork, as it was specialist, was outsourced to us. Traditional methods were used in the building’s construction, such as lime mortar and the bricks were specially commissioned and laid in a Flemish bond. Over 70,000 bricks were laid by Brickbuild during the course of the project. Clients sometimes have existing relationships with other tradesmen, such as carpenters or electricians. In such cases, we work with and around them. Ordinarily however, we use our own team.
